Cucumber and Pineapple Salad


Ingredients (Quantity)

1. Cucumber (500 grams)

2. Pineapple (500 grams)

3. Schallots (50 grams)

4. Lime juice (1/2 cup)

5. Red chilli (3)

6. Green chili (2)

7. Salt to taste

8. Sugar to taste


Instruction

1. Cut the cucumber, pineapple, schallots and chilis thinly

2. Put the cut ingredient into a bowl and mix with sugar and salt to taste.

3. Add in the lime juice, mix and let it merinade for a few minutes.

4. Serve to eat with rice ;o)

Sambal Ikan Bilis


Ingredients (Quantity)

1. Anchovies (300 grams)

2. Dried chilis (50 grams)

3. Onions (150 grams)

4. Garlic (2 cloves)

5. Tamarind water (1/2 cup)

6. Shrimp paste

7. Salt to taste

8. Sugar to taste

9. Cooking oil (2 cups)


Cooking Instruction

1. Boil the dried chili and blend

2. Put is the onions, garlic and shrimp paste and blend together with the chili

3. Heat up a pan and put in the cooking oil

4. Fry the anchovies and take it out from the cooking oil

5. Put in the blended ingredients in the same cooking oil and fry until the chili is cooked (you will see a layer of oil on top of the mixture)

6. Put in the tamarind water and mix

7. Put in the anchovies, sugar and salt to taste.

8. Turn off the stove and ready to eat ;o)

Nasi Lemak


Ingredients (Quantity)
1. Rice (4 cups)
2. Coconut milk (3 cups)
4. Water (1 cup)
5. Salt to taste
6. Pandan leaf (1 leaf)
7. halba

Cooking instruction
1. Wash and rinse the rice
2. Put the ingredients except pandan leave in a rice cooker.
3. Put in the pandan leave when the switch flip.
4. Wait and eat when ready ;o)

If you don't have a rice cooker (which is quite odd for people this day in age)
1. Wash and rince the rice and put every thing in a pot except the pandan leave.
2. Cook for 15 minutes until the coconut milk dried, put in the pandan leave and cover the pot.
3. Leave it on a small flame for another 5 to 10 minutes.
4. Wait and eat when cooked..

Chicken: Chicken Soy Sauce


Ingredients (Quantity)

1. One whole chicken (2 kilogram)

2. Onion (300 gram)

3. Ginger (3 cm)

4. Garlic (3 cloves)

5. Soy sauce (1 cup)

6. Ground Black pepper (3 table spoon)

7. Tamarind juice/water (1/2 cup)

8. Salt to taste

9. Sugar to taste

10. Cooking oil (1 cup)

11. Green or red chilis (3-4 medium size)

or bell pepper (1 large size pepper)


How to cook:

1. Clean and cut the chicken into 18 parts

2. Blend together onion, garlic and ginger

3. Fry the chicken until half cook and take them out from the pan

4. Using the same cooking oil, fry the blended ingredient until it turns fragrant and a bit yellow

5. Put the chicken back into the pan

6. Add in the soy sauce, tamarind water, continue cooking until the liquid thickens

7. Add in ground black pepper, salt and sugar to taste

4. Add in the chilli or pepper and turn off the stove.
